What is Fashion "Mais Oui"? , the background of Fashion "Mais Oui"  is part of the story in DA Call's first illustrated chapbook A Year in the Life of the Livable Forest.   Some of the secrets unfold to reveal this excerpt :

The pattern is set,
the time is near,
Denizens and visitors need something to wear
in the Livable Forest throughout the year
Forest Couture, but of course, mais oui!
What else could it be? albeit wee.
Blooms to seeds
Fresh to dry
Droppped and shed
Used on, in, around and again.
The Mateieil d'Atelier is the inspiration
for a few but certain necessities...

A New Spring Hat and That is That.
Layers of dried hydrangea and cactus petals for the skirt and bodice which has poppy pod sleeves.  A petticoat of white rose petals rustles underneath.  Hat of aster has a Carman Miranda style inner scarf to keep the hat in place on windy spring days.  And the shoes, they deserved their own special section.
